Thalapathy Vijay’s strong advice to TN government after Air Show tragedies

Thalapathy Vijay one of the, if not the highest paid actors in India recently announced that he will be quitting the film industry due to his political entry. His last film will be ‘Thalapathy 69’ directed by H. Vinoth which went on floors this October 5th. Vijay is gearing up for his first political public conference that will be held at Vikravandi on October 27th.

Vijay has released his first political statement criticizing the ruling DMK government on the mishaps that occurred at the Marina Beach on Sunday that claimed five lives. A grand Air Show Event by the Indian Airforce was held at the Marina Beach where a staggering 15 lakh spectators gathered. It is reported that 90 people were injured and five lost their lives due to stampede and heat stroke among other things respectively.

Vijay’s statement in Tamil roughly translated reads “The incident in which 5 people lost their lives during an adventure program organized by the Indian Air Force at the Marina beach in Chennai has pained me. My deepest condolences to their families. During the event, there were reports in the media that the government did not pay enough attention to the basic facilities, transport facilities and security, etc. I request the Tamil Nadu government to focus on effective implementation of facilities and security for basic and essential needs in places where people gather in large numbers.”

On the movie front Vijay’s recent release ‘The Greatest Of All Time’ directed by Venkat Prabhu is said to have grossed more than rupees four hundred crores worldwide. He is currently shooting for his last film ‘Thalapathy 69’ that has music by Anirudh and costars Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Monisha Blessy, Prakash Raj and Narain among others.
