Sai Pallavi, one of the most sought after actresses in Tamil and Telugu cinema made her acting debut with the Malayalam film ‘Premam’ released in 2015. She became a household name after portraying the role of Malar Teacher in the film. On October 31st Sai Pallavi’s new movie ‘Amaran’ is releasing worldwide with huge expectations. She is busy flying all around the country for the promotions of the film based on the life of martyr Indian soldier Mukund Varadarajan played by Sivakarthikeyan.
Sai Pallavi shared the interesting info that she initially rejected ‘Premam’. “When Alphonse Puthren called me on my cellphone with the offer, I didn’t believe it. I did not accept it as I thought it was a fraudulent call. We spoke only after the ace director asked me to google his name and clarify my doubts.”
The pretty Nilgiris born actress added “I told the conditions I had in acting that I will not do glamour. Before that film, I participated in a dance show. I was wearing a suitable dress. But by the time ‘Premam’ was released, the video had gone viral and received negative comments. From then on I decided not to dress like that anymore. No need to show off my body. Fans are showering me with love the way I am now. So I will continue on the same path.”
Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Indhu Rebecca Varghese the wife of the slain soldier in ‘Amaran’. It is said that there are several emotional scenes between her and Sivakarthikeyan in the film directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. G.V. Prakash is scoring the music while Kamal Haasan is producing under his banner RKFI in collaboration with Sony Entertainment and Turmeric Media.
