Deadpool 3 Teaser Review – Ryan Reynolds is Marvel Jesus this time

The much-awaited ‘Deadpool 3’ teaser dropped earlier today promising a laugh-out-loud roller coaster ride once again from the Merc With Mouth in sublime form. The first teaser has confirmed the title of the film as ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ hinting that there will be some high-octane confrontation moments between the two sworn enemies.

Ryan Reynolds is at it again breaking the fourth wall time and again and in one instance claiming to be the Marvel Jesus out to save the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The tongue-in-cheek sarcastic humor, self-deprecating one-liners and atrocious action sequences abound in the 2-minute 26-second teaser. The slow-mo shot of Wade Wilson loading his guns in reverse movement and celebrating his b’day with a wig is sure a treat to watch. However, the highlight is the appearance of Wolverine aka Hugh Jackman (actually it’s his shadow) at the very end is the real icing on the cake.

Social media is abuzz with fans lauding the ‘Deadpool 3’ teaser compared with the previous few ones from Marvel that clearly failed to strike a chord with them. The third installment in the blockbuster franchise is expected to revive the box-office prospects of the superhero flick in general too. As for the storyline, it looks like the Time Variance Authority (TVA) recruit Deadpool on a rollercoaster time travel to set the disrupted timelines straight. There are strong references to not only the MCU but the Avengers as well.

If you ask us we will tell you that the Ryan Reynolds – Hugh Jackman combo on screen is in itself worth the ticket money and the rest is all a bonus. Shawn Levy who has already brought out the best of Reynolds in ‘Free Guy’ and ‘The Adams Project’ and Jackman in the wonderfully crafted ‘Real Steel’ will give them both the best sequences together making their fans happy.

‘Deadpool 3’ stars Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa., Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapicic as the voice of Colossus, Rob Delaney as Peter with Emma Corrin, and Matthew Macfadyen. The film will be released in theaters on July 26th this year. Meanwhile check Hugh Jackman’s post on X saying he fixed the title of the film.
