Dhruv Vikram the son of National Award-winning actor Chiyaan Vikram made his acting debut in 2019 in ‘Aditya Varma’ the Tamil remake of the Telugu blockbuster ‘Arjun Reddy’. In the past five years he has acted only in one film namely ‘Mahaan’ directed by Karthik Subbaraj in which he starred alongside his dad. Dhruv’s third film with Mari Selvaraj as the director was announced a few years back but it never took off due to various reasons.
Now the Dhruv Vikram- Mari Selvaraj project is finally set to go on floors on March 15 in Tuticorin and surrounding areas. The film is said to be the biopic of famous kabaddi player Mannathi Ganesan. Dhruv Vikram has been training in kabaddi for the past several months to nail the character.
Fresh reports suggest that the talented Mollywood actress Darshana Rajendran, who played the heroine in the recently released Malayalam film ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey’, has joined the film. Darshana is not new to Tamil cinema as she has already appeared in films such as ‘Moone Moonu Vaarthai’, ‘Kavan’, ‘Irumbu Thirai’ and ‘Theeviram’. The film’s other stars and technicians are expected to be announced soon. It is bankrolled by Pa. Ranjith under the banner Neelam Productions.
