Jiiva one of the most highly rated actors in Tamil cinema has opened his heart about the his career graph in recent times. “Don’t make me look like an old man by talking about it being 21 years since I came to cinema” said the affable star adding “In my first ten years, I did a lot of films that were a bit experimental,”
The press meet of the Jiiva and Priya Bhavani Shankar starrer ‘Black’ was held in Chennai. Participating in this, Jiiva revealed, “When I was told the story of this film, I immediately liked it. I think the reason is that the director had narrated it to many other heroes and small changes have been made from their suggestions. Hence when it came to me it had turned out to be a complete story. Therefore, there is no need for any amendment or change in this. It is a mind twisting story.”
Jiiva further explained “I think people will open their third eye when they see what is said in ‘Black’, about right brain and left brain. Especially the youth will be very impressed by this film and it will also work on their brains. It can be called a psychological thriller. At some point, the viewers even doubt that this is a horror as well.”
The ‘Ko’ actor continued “Vivek Prasanna’s scenes are very important in this film. The answers to the questions that fans have about the film are tied to his character. They said it was a remake of an English film. But I haven’t seen that movie yet. The reason is that we should not do anything unnecessarily thinking that we will improve something after looking at it. We mostly shot the film at night for almost two months.”
Jiiva in his humorous side took a dig at the pressmen “Don’t make me look like an old man by talking about the fact that I have been in cinema for 21 years. In my first ten years I made a lot of films that were a little experimental. In that sense, it will be an innovative film among my upcoming films. I am generally a fan of thriller films.” About his costar the 40 year old actor gushed “I knew Priya Bhavani Shankar from the time she interviewed me. It was a joy to work with her,” he said.
‘Black’ is releasing in theaters on October 11th and is directed by KG Balasubramani for producers Potential Studios with Sam CS scoring the music. The film stars Jiiva, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Vivek Prasanna, Yog Japee, Sha Ra, Swayam Siddha.
