Popular South Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna, dubbed the “National Crush”, was recently involved in a scary incident on a flight from Mumbai to Hyderabad. As per Rashmika’s Instagram story post, she narrowly escaped death when the flight she was traveling on had to make an emergency landing back in Mumbai, just 30 minutes after takeoff.
Rashmika, who became a pan-India sensation after the blockbuster ‘Pushpa’, traveled with actress friend Shraddha Das. In her post, Rashmika shared a photo of them together on the flight and wrote “Just FYI this is how we escaped death today…” Understandably, the post caused some panic among her fans.
While the reason for the emergency landing is unknown, it seems to have been a technical snag. Those on board are said to have experienced extreme turbulence that left them in a state of high stress. Thankfully, all passengers including Rashmika were safe post the landing. The incident that happened on February 18th onboard Vistara does highlight concerns around flight safety, even for those traveling first class like celebrity passengers.
Currently, Rashmika Mandanna is at the peak of a very successful career. After becoming a household name across India with Pushpa and the viral ‘Saami Saami’ song, she recently made heads turn in Bollywood too with Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’. The 27-year-old has an exciting lineup ahead including ‘Pushpa 2’, ‘D51’, ‘Girlfriend’ and ‘Rainbow’
