
Mumbai: There was a sensational news doing the rounds about the popular Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who has a huge fan base in India. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was reportedly arrested at the Dubai airport. According to Pakistani media, several complaints were filed against him by his former manager Salman Ahmed. Khan was in UAE for a couple of concerts where he was detained.
The reports said that the preliminary information Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was taken into the Burj Dubai Police Station in UAE. Earlier controversies erupted between Khan and his former manager Salman Ahmed several months back. Salman had filed legal cases against him in Dubai and other cities which has led to the arrest.
Earlier this year too, Khan was in trouble as The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had taken action against against the Qawwali singer on allegations of money laundering and tax evasion. He reportedly has earned over Rs 8 billion from local and international music concerts over 12 years.

Apart from this, a video of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan beating up one of his staff members went viral on the internet. In the clip the 49 year old is seen asking the victim for a bottle and for some reason hitting him with a sandal. But over time, the staff made a volte face by supporting his boss and the case was covered up.
However Khan had taken to Instagram to clarify that the reports about his arrest were false and he in fact was chilling at his hotel. The news has created a huge buzz not only in Pakistan but also in India as well. Now fans are heaving a sigh of relief on the celebrity’s Instagram timeline.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan apart from his singing in Pakistan has rendered several HIndi songs from 2003 till date which include “Tere Mast Mast Do Nain” in Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg’, “Dum Ghutta Hai” in Ajay Devgn’s ‘Drishyam’ and “Tanha Hua” in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Zero’.
