Tamil cinema celebrity’s 16-year-old daughter joins Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘GOAT’

The 16-year-old daughter of a famous Tamil cinema celebrity has been added to the cast of Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming movie ‘GOAT’. The news has caused a huge sensation in Kollywood and speculations have already started regarding whether she is playing Vijay’s sister or daughter.

The shooting of Thalapathy Vijay’s 67th film ‘The Greatest Of All Time’ has been going on for the last few months in various locations including Chennai and Puducherry. The SciFi adventure is directed by Venkat Prabhu and boasts of a stellar cast comprising Prashanth, Mohan, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, VTV Ganesh and Yogi Babu along with Vijay.

As mentioned earlier the latest youngster to join ‘GOAT’ is Abyukta, the 16-year-old daughter of famous cinematographer Manikandan. It is said that Vijay is playing dual roles as father and son in the film and according to sources close to the team she will be playing both the daughter and the sister of Vijay.

Abyukta, who is a Bharatanatyam dancer and model, is said to have already participated in a fifteen-day shoot and her character is said to be a crucial one. Her father, the legendary cinematographer, V. Manikandan started his career with the Murali starrer ‘Adharmam’ later went on to become one of the most sought after in South Indian film industries and Bollywood. His award-winning films include Shankar’s ‘Anniyan’, Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’/’Raavanan’, Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Ra One’. His latest release is the Salman Khan film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan’.

‘GOAT’ is produced on a grand scale by AGS Entertainment with Yuvan Shankar Raja scoring the music. Filming is expected to be wrapped up by March end or mid-April and the much-awaited action entertainer will hit the screens in the last quarter.
