The grand launch puja of Thalapathy Vijay’s new movie ‘Thalapathy 69’ was held in Chennai recently. The project has garnered huge interest among fans and the film industry as Vijay has announced that it will be his last as he will be engaging himself full time into politics leading his TVK party.
KVN Productions, which is producing ‘Thalapathy 69’, is producing ‘Toxic’ in Kannada starring ‘KGF’ star Yash and directed by Geethu Mohandas. On the same day as the film puja Vijay also conducted the foundation laying ceremony of the first public conference of his Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.
Now the latest update on ‘Thalapathy 69’ is that a grand set has been erected in Panayur near Chennai by art director Selvakumar. The shooting of many films including Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer’ has taken place there. The shooting of ‘Thalapathy 69’ has started on the sets and it is said to be a foot tapping dance number tuned by Anirudh that will showcase the exemplary dance skills of the lead pair Vijay and Pooja Hegde. It is said that the song shoot will take place for four consecutive days, after which action sequences featuring Bobby Deol and Vijay will commence. After wrapping up this schedule, Vijay will shift focus towards the political conference work. It is said that he will return to ‘Thalapathy 69’ only after the conference is over which will show to the world the fanbase might of the mass hero.
‘Thalapathy 69’ is directed by H. Vinoth with Sathyan Sooryan cranking the camera and Anirudh scoring the music. Apart from Vijay, Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol, the mega entertainer also stars Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj and Narain among others.
