Young ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ pair Sara Arjun and Santhosh Sreeram reunite

Sara Arjun who became familiar to Tamil audiences as a child artiste in ‘Deiva Thirumagal’ and ‘Saivam’ recently appeared as a beautiful teen in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ and its sequel ‘PS-2’. She played the younger version of Nandini played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the epic films. Similarly, actor Santhosh Sreeram played the role of young Aditha Karikalan portrayed by Chiyaan Vikram.

In ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ the romantic and emotional scenes between Sara and Santhosh were well appreciated by critics and fans alike. Now the hot news is that the duo are reuniting for a new movie and will be playing lovers once again albeit in a contemporary setting.

The as yet untitled film will mark the directorial debut of Sana Mariyam the daughter of the late cinematographer director Jeeva who had helmed such classic films ’12B’, ‘Unnale Unnale’, ‘Ullam Ketkume’ and ‘Dhaam Dhoom’. Sana is said to have assisted Mani Ratnam and felt that Sara Arjun and Santhosh Sreeram would be the best choice for her new movie.

The other highlight of this exciting project is that it will be bankrolled by Sundar C and Khusbhu under their banner Avni Cinemax and the official announcement is expected soon. Sara Arjun and Santhosh Sreeram have gained youthful fans in large numbers on social media and their pairing up on screen again is sure to trend the news big across platforms.
